August Update

Just so everyone doesn't think we've quietened down I thought a quick update of the last few weeks would be in order.

John is back at work and has done two rostered trips and one call out to Hong Kong. He is staying in our (soon-to-be) home in Ealing , London during his call time but hopes to get back to France after another call-out (Flights are busy with the end of the British 'Summer'!).

Sharon, Denise's friend from Auckland, has arrived for a month so it has been non-stop 'tiki-touring' around the region showing off the various sites: La Cite, the Minervois, Saissac, Castelnaudary. Stay tuned for a classic Denise Update (we are keeping all of these by the way, and I agree with several of you that the girl has a future in writing). And we did have the Montlaur Vide Grenier and fete day recently, more of that later!

Plans are well underway for the next phase of our adventure - Life in London! Though there are still a few more things to be done in France before the first week in October when John is on leave again and we catch the boat 'back to Blighty'!

The house is only 400 metres from the Underground - though the tracks are 'overground, (sing it with me "Underground, Overground....") - with a direct route to Heathrow (30 minutes tops!). There are several large parks and playgrounds close by and a massive shopping district 15 minutes walk away in Ealing Broadway (also home to a National Rail station).

But enough about that - more French adventures will be following soon...
